Well, I've been told that there's a sucker born every day/ Well, I wonder who, yeah, I wonder who/ Maybe the one who doesn't realize there's a thousand shades of grey

life

I just googled my blog...I was the third entry if you looked up "Rosy and Grey." Do I view my life in shades of Grey? Is everything coming up Rosy and Grey?

Let us review the some of lyrics and see:

I want to take a streetcar downtown (i live within walking disance the the metro)
Read Henry Miller and wander around (i wander around, but stick to reading others)
And drink some Guinness from a tin (like guinnes, but draft)
'Cause my U.I. cheque has just come in (still have a job...for now)
Ah, where you been... because

Everything is coming up rosy and grey (trying to figure this out)
Ah, the wind is cold but the smell of snow warms me today (i live in Virginia to avoid the snow...but that smell actully reminds me of a simpler stress free time in life)
And your smile is fine and it's just like mine and it won't go away, 'cause (her smile is fine - much better than mine - it stays longer now - it still goes away, but life isn't as black and white...yikes-is it really grey?)
Everything is rosy and grey (everything?!?!?)

You've been under my skin for more than eight years (under my skin is an understatement - but its only been like six months...ok five years)
It's been eight years of laughter and eight years of tears (cheesy, but true)
And I don't know what the future can hold, or will do, for me and you (i certainly try to say that I do, less so lately)
But I'm a much better man for having known you (true - i'm better for most of my relationships...however, here the 'much' appears to be the key)
Yeah, you know that's true, because... (i tend to exagerate quite a bit)

Well, I've been told that there's a sucker born every day (true dat bro')
Well, I wonder who, yeah, I wonder who (i certainly don't?
Maybe the one who doesn't realize there's a thousand shades of grey (i guess i forgot the song - i was a sucker for quite a while - I'm coming around to see the variances - tough sometimes)
'Cause I know that's true, yes I do, I know that's true (i try to see that)
How about you? (do i really care about other peoples shades? Need to work on that one)

Well, they're picking up trash and they're putting down roads (they are also building Malls!)
And they're brokering stocks, the class-struggle explodes (what class am I...come check out the house and check again)
And I'll play this guitar just the best that I can (i'm thinking about the mandolin)
Well, maybe I'm not and maybe I am (so deep - so shallow - take a guess)
Who gives a damn? (i do give a damn - still need to work on that part of grey)
Well, I've kissed you in France and I've kissed you in Spain (and you wonder why we went to Paris and Barcelona)
And I've kissed you in places I'd better not name (ok - its the Arlington County Fair)
And I've seen the sun go down on Sacre Coeur (not from the top of Sacre Coeur mind you - the steps down to Montmartre)
But I like it much better going down on you (as long as we have sunscreen on)
Ah, you know that's true

If the damn cat would stop hitting me in the head with its tail, i might be able to see even more shades of grey...

dude - I just googled it and couldn't get it to come up. What'd you google? I need to get this song so I can hear it - I don't think I've ever heard it before.
